With the passage of time, progress of technology also has come complexity the individual reality. We are no more simple living human beings but entangled in all the roles that we play on day to day basis. And in this process we lose hold of our conscience, Self Leadership 2.0 was conducted to make us aware of the same. Forming a significant part of conscience is Emotional Intelligence.

Emotional intelligence is one part which every person need to dwell upon in order to live a peaceful life. We are blessed with it from the beginning of our life but tend to lose track over the years. We hear but rarely listen, we see but rarely inscribe, and we teach but rarely preach, we learn but rarely act. In the process of growing up, we tend to develop a skin which becomes very hard to penetrate. But to become a true leader, even before that to become a true human being we have to learn to listen to what we want, what others are saying and what is required to be done. Keeping the past in mind as well implications on the future should the present be lived. The human habit of multitasking has made his mind a monkey, which keeps going into millions directions and over the years become very difficult to handle. However, what the ideal is, to do one thing at a time with complete indulgence. For example not hearing but listening that too deep listening.

When we communicate the message is not only limited to the words we speak, it flows through our expressions, our body posture, the hand movement, the pitch and finally the method of ending it. That is where the importance of emotional intelligence gets highlighted. We need to be wary how we communicate and the effectiveness of communication. At every stage we should look at ourselves through the eyes of an outsider to see if we are doing it the right way or not.

Building my way to self leadership has come the realization of the power of the layers which initially obstruct the path to Self.  Every layer, starting with our senses to our ego is bound to be constrained by time and space and the only independent entity, is the soul. Direct contact with soul transcends our ability to be affected by spatial and temporal aspects and it also diminishes its effect on the other layers.
The most important things of life come for free and one could not realize it better than in the process of becoming aware of self. As Anil Sachdev, guided us, I realized how powerful and wondrous our senses are. If nurtured properly one can enhance one’s potential beyond the imaginable limits of physical being.
The act of going beyond the rational mind was the key to the same.
Power of Observation as it is said enables us to perceive a human being beyond the obvious. ‘The most effective way to communicate is Silence‘ is something I never believed in but today I got to experience it. The task to explore through eyes enabled me to learn how much we can express just by a glimpse. When we build a true connection to I, the eyes say it all. The shine in eyes of my companion enabled me to get a deep glimpse into her persona and she put across a message which would have consumed hundred of words to convey.
God gave us two ears and one tongue, I guess that’s how much he wanted us to listen as compared to speak. Power is always vested with the listener as he/she lends ear to the speaker. As the power of a deity is derived from its followers, same way greatness of an leader is manifested through the number of lives he/she has been able to transform or make better.
As the eyes and ears facilitate communication, same is done by the skin. A gentle touch on the head from elders, teachers, or guru is sufficient to give us the power to lead our way in life and we call it the blessings; same way a hug, a kiss or any touch is sufficient to convey us the message in most meaningful way. The same way through our touch we can transfer our positive energy to other bodies in order to heal them, something much beyond the rational understanding.
Hence, another pebble of being aware of senses was laid down today in the path of self leadership.

·

I found thee I need nobody,
thou show my way and  I will be somebody.

And as I complete my 10th day at SOIL, I am glad to say I found a right place to worship. As the key to successful education is to imbibe and imbibe spiritually and that’s what my journey has been about since past ten days. Before  entering Soil, I never knew that such a beautiful induction awaits me, which will take me through both knowing each and every comrade as well as also provide me a true companion, the one which through several years of socialization estranges us, The Self.
The journey on which Anil Sachdev has taken all of us is in fact not less than any pilgrimage, it’s a brilliant way to self. The ‘I ‘which lies hidden under the several layers of tangible and non tangible coverings. Through profound introspection, treading my path through perceptual intelligence, manna, emotions, intellect and the most influencing i.e. ego, I found I, a reality that is the purest form of self totally individualistic and beyond any constraint. Something so powerful  that our ego declines to recognize its potential.
The Journey to ‘I’ was aimed to empower oneself with leading of Self, as one cannot lead others when one is not even capable of leading the self. Leading, as I was able to realize is the most wonderful way of selflessly giving others what It needs to take them ahead, to make them progress. The key ideology behind being a leader is not attributed to the glory of the designation but the ability to be pivotal joint which carries the team forward. The ability to give is the priceless possession of every human being and I feel lucky to realize it. The fact that every leader displays the most basic traits of humanity is because they don’t need anything to satisfy themselves, they just give.
And hence, this was the first pebble that I laid in the lifelong learning of being an inspired self leader.
