Self Leadership !!
In today's lecture of Anil sir's a very unique aspect of human psych was touched. Beginning the day with such an input by the by him was not as i expected. And it turned out that this was necessary for all people to know. The functionality of the brain plays an important role in action that we do. The grasping complexity which we face are resolved and understood by the left brain while the creative ability is the responsibility of the right brain. There are six main points which one should keep in mind which are:
- Defining the frame
- Meaningful and reliable information
- Alternatives
- Criteria
- Evaluation
- Preparing for implementation
The above six points are considered to be six steps towards the "VISION" a person has in mind. A vision should be defined and should be meaningful to you. The reliability of the vision plays a very important part in the success of the vision. Then what are the alternatives which are present for the same big question!! What are the criteria on which I am going to assess about the alternatives and my vision so that any improvement can be evaluated and implemented. Then came the fact that when a person has to take a decision then what is that keeps his fuel burning. The six points which were discussed above are communicated between the "Decision Team" and "Decision Board". Certain key points regarding the decision is the creativity:
- Ideational Fluency
- Originality of thinking
- association fluency
- symectics
Then we were told to do an activity in which we had to write down uses of pen as much as we can imagine or understand. Along with that we were given a situation which we had to compare to an animal and match the characteristic of both which is known as "symectics". Then we were told that fears are a major hindrance between us and happiness. There are 5 fears in our mind:
- Failure
- Criticism
- Ambiguity
- Lack of resources
- Self Image
- Starved sensibility
Simple word but great impact on my mind. As I had experienced and observed such fears in my self and other in the college rather in my class itself. That was an astonishing fact that a behavior is actually a manifestation of fear now a days in many people. A good eye opening session by the best orator I had met!!
