Life always gives you surprises. Some are pleasant some are not. We had a setback a week before which was really hard for us to believe, accept and at the same time fight as well. But somehow the entire Soil family stood together to face the harsh realities of life and come out of it. As they say the show must go on, 1 week passed by and we started with our second term. It was Monday morning with regular morning circle but this time it lacked the enthusiasm a bit. I with some of my friends was not able to attend the morning circle and the classes that day as we had participated in AIMA strategy competition. It was Anil Sir`s session planned that very day which is one of the finest session we have in our entire 1 year course. But we were not the fortunate ones to attend that session on that very day.
When we were representing Soil in the competition against 68 teams, our fellow mates were fortunate enough to widen their horizon of knowledge in the subject which no better man than Anil Sir could teach. A subject that explains how you should live your life in the best way possible so that you could be proud of what you do. In other words we call it as Self – Leadership. Since we could not attend the class we were all curious enough to get back and know what happened in the session. Now what i could understand from my fellow mates who attended the class, i would like to pen down some learnings out of them.
Emotional intelligence was the first topic that sir picked up and we understood that there is a way in which we can acquire rather master emotional intelligence. For that we need to be a good listener. The more we listen to the speaker, the better experience we gain. This accumulated experience is the key to master emotional experience.  But to listen to the speaker it is important that we feel connected to the speaker and devote complete attention to him by keeping ourselves in the shoes of the speaker. This in turn would generate the trust between the listener and the speaker which leads to respect and this complete process enable us to appreciate the person. This is method which if followed in the desired way can actually make anyone strong and intelligent emotionally which is a rare quality in today`s world.
The second session was about Appreciative inquiry. A session where sir explained how to bring the best out of any human being. This could be done by listening the speaker carefully and appreciating all the positives which in turn negates the negatives in him and makes the person feel good about his ownself. This instills confidence, warmth and self believe in him which enhances the overall personality of the person.  By this activity we tend to find out the unique qualities everyone has and we cherish those qualities together.
Last but not the least the final session was a little intense which took us to a deeper meaning of understanding life. Here sir told us about our lives have a purpose and we must strive for it. But in our quest to achieve that we take the wrong path which leads to unhappiness. The factors that lead us to wrong path are unstated emotional expectations for those who are close to me, Regret about the past and the guilt that everyone carries with himself. But again the optimum method is to eradicate these methods of unhappiness and lead a life like an inspired leader which could be learnt clearly by example of Anil Sir.
