                                Emotional   Intelligence

True leaders either in personal or professional lives are very good listeners. No matter what situation or circumstances are, they always seem to know what to say and how to say? At the time of difficulties they have that patience and calmness to get solution. They have an ability to look their problems calmly and how to manage their emotions, which results as an excellent decision maker and they know when to trust their intuition. People like this have high degree of emotional intelligence. Basically EI is all about to recognize our emotions and understand what they are telling us and how it will effect on our and others lives. When a person understands all these things can easily leads to a successful life.
In our last class by Mr Anil Sachdev we learnt maximum ways to understand our EI.  We discussed about self-awareness, means that we are and what impact we can make on other person through our words or actions. Sometimes we do not realize in what situation, in what ways we need to react which often causes misunderstanding as well as it completely bring a new image of our personality in other person’s mind. We do not have an ability to think about what others think about us? Leadership is more about Emotional intelligence rather analytic intelligence. To control and to understand our EI it’s very important that we must have a habit of listening. It has been said “good listeners always become successful leaders”. This habit does not only help us to make our professional lives better but it will also help us to build a capacity of trust and understanding others. We can become fantastic problem solver if we are good listener. If we take an example of a doctor generally we can see patients sometimes do not get so easy with doctors because they have very less capacity to listen and to understand their patient’s minds. That is why the people on higher designation need to be a good listener. In this session we understood how to keep our relations healthy. How to be more socially responsible?

In last class of leadership to make it clearer we played some group activities in which we learnt about alter ego. Moreover last activity that we did where we discuss about our guilt’s, regrets and expectations that we have with our near and dear ones with that trust that the people with whom we are discussing can easily be reliable. Lastly I would like to say one cannot achieve everything just by being practical we need to understand our emotions. We need realize that life is much more being what we look at.
