Self Leadership
A series of ants is referred to be the best example of hard work and following, but the ant in the front is somewhat different from the ones behind. It has a sheer will, an idea or to be specific a vision to lead himself and the others toward a common cause. Similarly, humans as sociable animals are born to be leaders of tomorrow. They should pose a basic quality to lead themselves.
Any human, confirming on the 6 layers of self, can define his or her driving force. The body being the first holds the perception and the data that one collects from the outer world.  Next are the instincts that are derived from the information that we receive from body or the way we react to the data. Followed by emotions, thereby building our relationships and the thinking that we apply to the information. The intellect, which comes the next, allows is developed by the choices that we make by our knowledge and ethics. Ego being the second last is evolved from our values, habits and fears. But to the base of everything, a simple word as “TRUTH” subsides the genesis of human life. The mindfulness plays the most crucial part in a person’s vision for excellence for a fruitful cause.
To be an inspired leader, a person should incorporate change as a part of life. He should be willing to work endlessly for a cause, share his learning s and help others to motivate and lead them. He should be an active listener. It’s only by listening that a person can learn to acknowledge thoughts and opinions. He needs to be a follower first to become a leader. The listener owns the power to the speaker in any conversation. If the listener is not attentive, speaker can’t even speak a single word. A person needs to communicate effectively to the crowd. He should be aware of simple, yet very powerful ways of communication to put his message forward in a right way. He should be empathetic with people and should build upon his charisma.
Hence, complying with the words of Albert Schweitzer, "Example is not the main thing in influencing others, it is the only thing.” a leader should practice what he preach by himself, it’s only then he would be able to lead others.
