                                                               MOKSHA

A sunday morning pleasant day ahead as i believed it to be. The only day in the week when we get a holiday and spend time with our parents. Enjoy and be merry with them, share our concerns and listen to there concerns. Today I had to watch a serial on DD national named   " UPANISHAD GANGA". I remebered those days when on sunday Ducktails and talespin use to come and also who can forget the JUNGLE BOOK!! After so many years today I had to see the same channel which was associated with my childhood. Upanishad ganga is a serial which tells the learnings and teaching which are preached in the upanishads in hindu relegion. Today was the topic of moksha. Moksha as we all know is the removing of thyself from the viscious circle of being born again and again in this world. But personally I never use to understand this queer concept of taking birth again and again. With this in my mind I began to see the program on the television. A thief who calls himself "satyakant chor" because if he gets caught he tells the truth of his profession. A strange thing to say and do knowing that it can cost you a lot!! And a very rich guy named " kotikarna" meaning having ears worth of a crore rupees. A guy who wants to conquer the world with his wealth and power. Inconsiderant and sometimes arrogant to the core as he is projected. Till one day he asks a person to sell his ghat to him. Initially the owner refutes to this proposition given to him but gradually succumbs to the insisent nature of kotikarna. Then kotikarna calls for a yachak a person who begs for food and other things. He asks him to say whatever he wants to take from this now owner of the ghat!! " Give me your arrogance ..." polite words of the yachak confuses him. Pondering in his home on the incident that had happened he was perplexed. He starts to think the other way now that is to let go of whatever he has acquired to know what he really is!! In the later half of the episode it is depicted that this rich man had now turned into a yachak himself and is not sad about it. For being happy you must know what is the source of it. Considering your physical self as yourself is what is the mistake commited by all. We need to see who we are. Moksha is knowing the fabric of yourself rather than the product of physicalness. In the end the satyakant thief also becomes a follower of the yachak to know what is worth leaving everything in the world.......

Moksha is that thing for which a person can leave anything in this world just to know what he is.....
