Guess what is the fastest
thing in the world !!!
Racing cars, aeroplanes, rockets !!
No they are not. The answer is :
Thoughts !!!
Just think about any place and it is in your
thoughts. Thought are such a powerful tool. So we should use it wisely and
always think of good things. Most of our thinking is
processed by rational mind. But we should consider our intuition too. The best
leaders have a perfect blend of rational mind and intuition.
But sometimes having a good
thought is not enough, because our ego comes in between .For example you wish to help someone but
you feel, let him come to me then only I will help him. To give up our ego we
should practice humility and the most important unconditional love. Unconditional
love can be defined as the love that a mother has for her child. We cannot
reach the greatness of a mother but we can try to offer unconditional love. But
everyone wants to be at the center of universe rather than realizing that we
are all part of the universe.
Suppose we have a beautiful
thought and have also kept our ego aside, but we have to communicate it efficiently. Communication may
not always need words. The most important part of communication is the eye contact.
Eyes are the windows to the soul. It creates a bonding between the sender and
the receiver. It helps the sender to have an emotional quotient in his
communication. Then the other part of communication is using gestures. Both eye
contact and gestures forms nonverbal communication which constitutes 90% of the
communication. And whenever you speak, speak from heart so that people trust
you. So that they feel you true and feel positive energy in your words.
Now that doesn’t complete
the communication. The other part of communication is listening. Listening is a
powerful tool. Listeners are more powerful then speakers. Surveys show that most
of the top leaders are excellent listeners. Typically we should spend twice the
energy on listening than speaking.
This is how i was able to connect to Self leadership session and practical communication.
