We
lost you. But wherever you are, you will be remembered forever. Rahul and
Gaurav you are the most wonderful people that I have ever come across my life and
even when I am trying to write this blog, I still remember the days we all were
together, happy.
I
was in a serious shock when Anil Sir asked us to discuss and come out with our
feelings about the recent tragic incident at SOIL where we lost two of our
close friends. I tried and clustered my thoughts about them but could not do it
and kept quiet without uttering a single word about them.
Good
thoughts came in from people and I gradually understood the fact how much love
and care these two people have gathered from the entire class.
The
session took a turn when we started discussing Emotional Intelligence, post tea
break.
Emotional
Intelligence can actually be acquired and it depends on your upbringing. The
way you listen to people, like you are fully present. It is not just listening the other person but
even understanding his perspective. Actually it is being empathetic and not
sympathetic.
Emotional
quotient again directly depend on these factors:
·
Listening
·
Empathy
·
Patience
·
Respect
·
Genuineness
·
Warmth
The
second half was mainly on Appreciative Inquiry where we were made to form teams
of two and discussed questions to understand when and where we were at our
best. After discussing the same, we had to present the qualities of our partner
with the entire class. Surprisingly we came to know a lot many hidden qualities
of our fellow mates which we never knew before and in a way understood each
other in a much better way. A class of students, each one of whom have a
quality which is worth mentioning and a school which stood together in the
times of crisis.
The
session ended with all of us forming a circle and tried to discuss our
experiences that we gathered over the day with each of us trying to understand
the meaning of happiness and what leads to it, and how it can be achieved.
