In
fact every trimester beginning, I have this wonderful opportunity to attend the
class on Self Leadership. Anil sir has begun the class by showing us a video of
“Things to do before I die” and the video showed clippings of people around the
world writing down their dreams, tasks they want to do before they die. This
video raked in me my finest of aspirations/dreams of writing a book and hope I
will take up that task at some point of time.
Class shared their feelings on
losing our dear class mates and we felt that it’s just their physical presence
we are going to miss and the moments were emotional. Few of them shared their
feelings and it’s a fact that we are going to pass away some day. I felt that
one should be content with what one is having and should seek happiness in that.
We understood the difference between
the words empathy and sympathy and the activity of getting into another shoes
by putting/without putting the shoes clearly demonstrated it. Then we underwent
the Appreciative Inquiry process where in each student was paired with another
student and we did put the questionnaire such as when was one at his/her best,
what happened during the process, who were involved in the process, what was
the ambience around and how was the experience.
