Arun Kumar_BLP034_Self Leadership_May 2012

Successful leaders will always be punctual, nevertheless to say that our Guru Anil Sachdev the disciple of  Swami Chinmayananda was in the class even before we reached from the morning prayer hall.

I am very new to blogging and my scribbling follows….

Today I have learnt that to become a successful and complete leader one must possess/ inculcate  Observing, Listening and Reflecting skills with in him.

The workshop started with some questions like “Do I have a vision”, “Am I well organised to towards my vision”, “Am I enough confident and Enthusiastic towards my vision” and “Am I a good team player” appeared before me in the process of questing myself to be a lead.

“What kind of human am I if I am not able to bring in the change I feel like with all my senses and power”, “Am I following my Consciousness” were the other interesting questions from my friends.

Per Peter F. Drucker we remember anything that we see as picture than that we read or listen and hence the Observing, Listening and Expression through touching concepts were clearly explained by different practical exercises that we understand their importance and also remember them through our life.

Concept like “6 layers of Self” was very useful, which insists that Brain, Emotions, Instinct, Senses, Body and Mind are just objects and they should not directly impact the decisions we make. Our Soul is the subject and the owner of the above things.

Some statements that I remember and can take it throughout the life are “Don’t allow your instinct to react to the information from the data”, “Reacting is not Leadership, Responding is Leadership”, “An Altar Ego will Alter your life”.

Apart from some serious discussions on Self Leadership I felt a touch of Positive Energy flow and Spiritualism in the workshop.
Here by I complete my second blog in my life time.. Hurray!

Regards,
Arun
