manvi chopra _ blp053_self leadership_21st may 2012

After my class on self leadership, I almost feel enlightened. In the last few hours my senses have become more receptive and I feel more responsive and more aware of my self and my surroundings.
On my way back I found myself listening to my fellow batchmates more carefully and trying to capture what they said.Instead of rampling on, I tried to observe their actions to understand patterns.Even though I did get distracted a few times simply coz I was not so used to listening for such a long time. This entire excersize taught me more about them. When I was a better listener they were more receptive and were able to establish a  better rapport with me. In fact I knew so much more about them by the end of my journey.
The ability and power of my senses to change and influence reactions and perceptions is something I have realised post today, something that I took for  granted till this point.
I also feel a sense of motivation and hope post our discussion on what makes a great leader . I feel a sense of control to change what I want and believe should change. This I feel would help me in challening situtaions that I face in the long term. I would often wonder how I would keep my self motivated after years and years of  hard work and there it is deep commitment towards the cause and what is in it for me and what is in it for the world, wonderful golden words. Which I would like to remember for life.
