Sabharish_MLP003-Self Leadership_May 2012

The moment when I start thinking about Self-Leadership, the first thing that strikes in my mind is does everyone have leadership qualities? If everyone has, why are only few people becoming leaders? What is the thing that is stopping a person from becoming a leader? This introspection of mine did land me in exploring more about self.
Usually when we come across certain conversations we intend to come to conclusions instinctively. This all happens because we feel that we know more than others. It’s all because of our ego which got built up subconsciously. One cannot be a good leader until he controls his ego. Ego prevents oneself from developing and exploring the self. It has all the fears and kills the hidden talent from coming out. One should know about himself to become a leader. It kills you from bringing out the potential which is hidden. If we are able to control ego there is a great scope for building our knowledge. This knowledge enables one in tuning the self in a much more positive fashion.
We have a body with 5 sense organs. These are the 5 organs of perception. A body with all the leadership qualities is called as perceptional intelligence. This body has powerful equipment called mind. This mind has several feelings like emotions, anger, attachments, envy, lust etc. If we are able to control ego we can overcome all these emotions. This makes one to be a good leader by discovering more about himself. A leader should have mindfulness and compassion. Compassion should be in such a way that he should be able to spread smiles in the people around him. With all his leadership qualities he should become an inspiration to many in making young leaders.
A leader is the one who explores and discovers himself ...
